My love/hate relationship

Have you heard of Pinterest? If not, prepare to have all of your time sucked away as you discover the wonders it holds.

Pinterest is an online pinboard. It's like a memory board that holds unlimited amounts of pictures so you can look back through them at any time. If you are on a website and see something inspirational, but you don't want to be bothered to bookmark it or print it out, no worries, Pinterest to the rescue. After you sign up you download the pinner to your toolbar. That way, no matter what website you are on, you are able to 'pin' images to one of your boards. This handy dandy program will even let you select which of your boards you would like it pinned to.

I can hear you now, "Well, I only need one board." Riiiiight. I thought that too. I even named my first board "Awesomesauce" because that covers all bases. I knew I would only be pinning things that were awesome so this board would be all encompassing.

Except....

Well, I should probably separate the food from the generalness of Awesomesauce. That way when I want to look for a specific one I can just go to that board and find it instead of sorting through all of the many images I would have on the awesomesauce board.

And while Halloween and Christmas ARE pretty awesome, they really should be segregated so when I need decorating ideas I can find them easily. And that way when people search for Christmas my board will come up.

Aaaand, Harry Potter is pretty fucking sweet and I could group all of my HP pics together so when I am in the mood to go to Hogwarts all my pics will be together.

Now, since I've given food it's own board and the only pictures I pin to it are of super fattening items, I should have a board devoted to exercise and pictures of skinny bitches. So I'd better make a body inspirations board.

And then I was off. I have 17 boards and for a good, long while I was a pinning fool. One good thing to come of having my computer crash is that I was able to cut Pinterest cold turkey.

Now that I know I can live without it I find that I am not spending as much time on there as I used to. Though, after going through my boards for posts I'm thinking a night of pinning may just be in my future.
